Step Into Spring Link-Up

Hey y'all! I am so ready for the warm spring time weather, and I'm sure that you are too! To step into spring on the right foot, I took a trip to J.Crew Factory with my sister and went on a shopping spree!! I purchased so many adorable pairs of shorts which you will see later, and I am so excited to show you guys how I styled all of my new clothes! See how I styled a pair of neon floral shorts with a cream piko shirt below! Also, this post is actually a spring link-up with a ton of fabulous bloggers! This was a great idea, so I would like to thank Mikayla for hosting it! Link-ups are such a fun way to meet more bloggers like yourself!!

DISCLAIMER: I am so sorry for the "mirror selfies", but I did not have my fabulous photographer with me today (s/o to Caroline)!!

Spring Break Essentials

Hey y'all! I have been crazy busy lately, so I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in forever! All of my teachers are cramming so many tests in to make sure that we are done before spring break! The stress of the tests is one of the main reasons why I cannot wait for it to come so I can just relax and hang out with friends! I am actually going to the beach over spring break, so these are my spring break and beach essentials!

Cross Body
You don't want a big, bulky tote or purse to lug around the beach, so it's always best to use a small, cute cross body like this one!

Sandals
This is a given because what else are your perfectly polished toes and feet going to wear?

Beach Bag
I absolutely adore shopping for beach bags! They are too cute and hold all of your beach essentials!

Sunglasses
These are so necessary since it is so sunny at the beach! My favorites are the Ray-Ban Clubmaster which is pictured below!

Floppy Hat
Floppy hats are just so precious not to mention they give you amazing coverage from the sun!

I hope that y'all enjoyed this post! Have fun and be safe during spring break!

Happy Mardi Gras! Today's outfit is in honor of this marvelous season coming to a close. Luckily, it's not snowing where I am, so I was still able to take these pictures! I hope that you get to eat as much king cake as your heart desires, today! Enjoy!

Valentine's Day Recap

Hey guys! I hope that everyone had a fantastic Valentine's Day full of loving family and friends. I woke up to my sister buying me some chicken minis from Chick-fil-a, so I guess you can say that I had a successful and yummy breakfast! I started off the day by babysitting because I mean what else do I do? I then went enoing with my favorite galentine! For those of you who don't know what an eno is, it's a portable hammock that you can attach to any two things! We went to the LSU lakes because it was such a gorgeous day!

Finally, I came home to the sweetest Valentine gifts ever! My parents got me the Kate Spade Mini Bow Ring which was so sweet and unexpected! I absolutely adore it, and I cannot wait to wear it every day! See how I styled it below!

Also, my nephew William picked out a gift for me all by himself ;) He wrote me the sweetest note ever (pretty good penmanship for a 5 1/2 month old, right?) He also surprised me with the prettiest Stella and Dot bracelet!

I hope that your Valentine's Day was as fabulous as mine!

Recapping My Week in DC

Hey guys! I spent last week in DC with some friends, and I wanted to recap the week for y'all. I went with my school for March for Life, so we visited many different churches, but we also visited a lot of tourist attractions for those that have never been to DC. I had such a blast, and it was definitely one of the best weeks of my life! Here are some pictures that I took while on vacation!

We visited Arlington National Cemetery which was a very moving and powerful part of the trip. To see the number of men and women who died fighting for us and our country is not expressible in words. If you go to DC, I would definitely make a stop to come here. Make it an everyday routine to pray for all of the men and women (and their families) who risk their lives each and everyday to protect us.

We also visited some of the major monuments like the Lincoln, Washington, and Korean Monuments.

We took a trip to the Smithsonian museums which was definitely a highlight of the trip! I loved seeing all of the animals, artifacts, historical documents, paintings, etc that were on display.

Obama's crib.

It started snowing on the second to last day, and this is what I woke up to! I live in the South, so I never see snow, so this was such a pleasant surprise! I was sick of it by the end of the day though....

Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale!

Hey guys! Well... this has been such a crazy weekend!! I became a member of the iPad community thanks to my amazing brother-in-law for giving me his old one! I, also, found the cutest Lilly Pulitzer case in Chin Chin (check my Instagram @styleonthegeaux for a picture of it) at Home Goods for $17. It doesn't get much better than that! I, also, finished my science fair board! You know what that means... more blog posts! Yay! ALSO, (the list goes on and on) I got 70 views on my blog yesterday! That is the most views that I have ever gotten in a single day! So yay!!

Finally, to move onto the real reason for this post, the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale started this morning! I woke up bright and early (6:45) to ensure that I got a good chance to grab a bunch of goodies. Granted, the sale started at 7 my time. Anyways, here are the two dresses that I got! If you shopped during the sale, comment what you got! Thanks, and I hope that you enjoyed!

What I Got for Christmas 2014

Hey y'all! I hope that everyone had a very merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or whichever holiday you celebrate! I know that my Christmas was especially jolly this year being that it was my nephew's first Christmas. We had a blast spoiling him and introducing him to all of my family traditions.

I would, first, like to say that I am not bragging in any way, shape, or form. I don't know about you guys, but I especially love to see what others received for Christmas. I am very grateful for everything that I received this year and would like to thank all of my friends and family for all of their gifts that they gave me!

So, let's get started!

I received my very first Kiel James Patrick bracelet from my grandparents! It is so adorable, and I cannot wait to style it with everything! It also came with the cutest sticker and postcard!

Alex and Ani Bracelet // Kate Spade Studs // C.Wonder Bangle (exact not found) // C. Wonder Studs

Neiman Marcus Gold Crossbody // Kate Spade Wallet (different colors) // Kate Spade Clutch (exact not found)

Kate Spade Ring Holder // Kate Spade Perfume // J.Crew Hat // J.Crew Earmuffs // J.Crew Tights (exact not found) // Essie Nail Polish // J.Crew Socks (exact not found)

I received the long-awaited J.Crew herringbone vest! I was so excited when I opened up this package that I almost cried (I'm not even exaggerating)!

My parents gave me the cutest Lilly Pulitzer dress and skort ever! I am so excited to wear them all the time (when it gets hotter)! The picture doesn't give the dress justice, but the dress has accents of a gorgeous glittery gold color! It is magnificent! Also, sorry for the awful placement of the picture, but I have not quite figured out how to take a full length picture of a dress yet... oops!

Black Fur Vest (exact not found)

Not Pictured Gifts:
One of my best friends bought me a Lauren James "Southern Tea Time" golf koozie and "Prepin' Ain't Easy!" sticker! She knows how much I love Lauren James, so I was ecstatic and majorly surprised when I opened it up! I can't wait to take the koozie out on the golf course!

My sister's boyfriend gave me a pair of J.Crew socks (pictured above in the 5th picture) and a box of J.Crew band-aids!

I received three pikos from my aunts and grandmother which I have been wearing every day since... not even kidding. You can tell from my Instagram (@styleonthegeaux) that I am living in pikos!

I hope that y'all enjoyed this post, and I am so sorry that it is so late! Don't forget about the giant Lilly sale tomorrow (I mean how could you though!)

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Purchases

I hope that everyone had a magnificent Thanksgiving full of friends, family, turkey, and shopping (of course!) I stayed in town for the week and had a blast spending time with all of my family! I know that I haven't posted anything in forever, but with Thanksgiving and exams, I have been pretty busy lately.
To get started, I personally love to go Black Friday shopping! I don't know why, but I get an adrenaline rush every time I go! This year, I went to a couple of local stores and Target. I bought a lot of things, but I ,mainly bought gifts for other people, so I can't show those to y'all now, but here are three of my favorite purchases! I hope that you enjoy!

I have been wanting a pair of Tory Burch flats, but when I saw these Kate Spade beauties, I couldn't resist! I have what my sisters call a "Kate Spade problem" where I impulsively buy anything and everything Kate Spade. These flats, actually, are not my size. At all. I wear an 8 1/2, but these are a 10! Oops! I stuck a Dr. Sholl's gel insert in them, and they fit like a charm, not to mention, they are now the most comfortable flats ever!

I am going to D.C. for a week in January, so I thought that these gloves would be a great investment. They are from Target, and they are super soft and comfortable. Something that is cool about them is that the thumb and pointer finger have special tips on them that work on smartphones and tablets, so I won't have to take off my gloves to snap a pic or text a friend! I think that everyone should buy a pair! Not to mention, they were only $1.75 a pair on Black Friday! Yay!

Guilty is charged... I didn't take this picture. S/o to my sister for letting me borrow her nice camera to take all of my pictures for my blog, but my tote just came in yesterday, and I didn't have access to her camera, so I'm having to steal this picture from Amazon. Yikes! Looks like I really need to invest in my own camera! Anyways, I got this tote on Cyber Monday from Kate Spade's 75% off sale. This is yet another example of my "Kate Spade problem"... I saw this tote and purchased it less than 10 minutes later! This picture does not do it justice! It is absolutely stunning, and I cannot wait to take it on vacations and to work! I will post a picture of my own tote (when I gain access to my sister's camera), so stay tuned on my Instagram! @styleonthegeaux

Warm and Cozy OOTD

Hi! I hope that everyone's Halloween was great! I took my nephew trick-or-treating (best aunt ever award?), so I had a blast! This morning, it was completely freezing though, so my sister and I went to Starbucks and got a peppermint mocha (my first of the season)! I'm officially starting to get into the holiday spirit! Here is my comfortable OOTD that is keeping me warm and cozy!
